James grew up like any Texas boy, chasing white lines, spinning bulls, bad whiskey and wilder women. Oldest of six kids, James spread his wings at an early age with the intent to see and experience as much of the world as he could. Now, living a "calmer life", he recounts his stories of smoke filled honky-tonks surrounding his younger years. 

Drawing passion and inspiration from legends such as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Hank Jr., James is encompassed by country musics pure roots. Whether he's performing solo or with a band, James tells stories that reflect the life he's lived with a sound that echoes an older era.

Currently wrapping up his newest album, 'Hotels, Honky-Tonks & Heartaches', this collection of songs sets a new tone for the artist as the follow up to his 2019 record 'Big Wood & The Southern Sound'. No release date is set for 'Hotels, Honky-Tonks & Heartaches' as of yet...
